Center Hours and Calendar

With the exception of the holidays listed below, the Center is open year-round from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.  In order for our staff to enjoy time with their families, the Center closes at 2:00 p.m. on Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve.  The Center is closed on the following holidays:

New Year’s Day     Memorial Day     Independence Day
Labor Day     Thanksgiving Day     Christmas Day

If the holiday falls on a weekend, Lord of Life will be closed on the Friday before or the Monday after. No fee will be charged for the holidays we are closed.

Notification of Cancellation

Families are advised of weather related or other emergency closings by means of radio and television announcements beginning at approximately 5:30 a.m.  Announcements will be made on:

Radio Stations

Television Stations

WBEN 930 AM

Channel 2 (NBC)

WKSE 98.5 FM (Kiss)

Channel 4 (CBS)

WTSS 102.5 FM (Star)

Channel 7 (ABC)

In most circumstances the Center will remain open. Emergency closings will take place when there is a driving ban in Cheektowaga or Depew.

Application and Registration

An application packet will be given upon payment of a $40.00 processing and registration fee. The fee for additional children is $30.00. Prior to admission certain forms will be reviewed and must be completed by parents/guardians.  By regulation, these forms must be kept on file for each child.

In order to secure a position, a contract must be signed and payment, equal to one week’s fee, must be paid in advance. This will be applied to the child’s account upon commencement of service. The deposit will be forfeited if the child fails to enter the program.  Contracts are renewed annually.

Payment Policies

Payment of fees must be made in advance. Payment can be made by check, money order, or cash. Fees are based upon the child’s contracted attendance, rather than actual attendance.  Late fees are charged at a rate of $5.00 per day to any account not paid in full by the end of the week of service.

When more than one child in a family is enrolled, there will be a 10% discount given on the fees of the older children.

All children need to be picked up by 6:00 p.m. If a child is picked up after 6:00 p.m., a late pick-up charge may be assessed, for each child, for every 15 minutes or portion thereof after 6:00 p.m.

If your child is removed from the Center early during the day due to illness or for any other reason, the regular contracted fee will be charged for that day of service.

A minimum of two weeks written notice is required of a parent who wishes to withdraw a child from the program. If proper notice is not given, full payment for two weeks tuition will be charged.

Grace Day Policy

Each child paying privately for services is entitled to grace days to be used for vacation, personal days, and/or illness. Grace Days may only be used for absences. These days accrue monthly according to the child’s contracted schedule. Children with "floating" or irregular schedules are entitled to Grace Days on the basis of the least amount of floating days contracted per week.

Grace days begin accruing the first day of the month after the child’s first day of attendance.
