Faith formation begins in the home, and you are your child's greatest mentor as s/he learns who God is, and what difference it makes to live a life grounded in Jesus Christ.
It continues with us!
Our mission is to partner with you and your family to promote faith in every aspect of your child's life.
Children and Family Ministry
Welcome!
Children and Family Ministry serves all children, from Pre-K through fourth grade, and their families. We strive to work with families to provide a solid faith foundation in the early years of childhood.
Worship
Children are welcomed and involved in worship. Each Sunday service includes a special Children's Message, and children serve as acolytes during worship and cup bearers during Communion.
Wigglers
It can be hard for the youngest among us to sit! We provide a nursery during worship for those up to 1st grade, and busy bags for children are available each week. We also have a cafe where caregivers can view the service, while children have a break.
Sunday School
Christian Education takes place during the hour after worship each week from September through June. All children Pre-K - 4th grade meet as a group and participate in an active, Bible-based curriculum called "Steppin' Through the Bible."
Special Events
Whether it's our current special events: Mother's Day "Tea", Father's Day Ice Cream Social, & Advent Series; or our events under construction: Family Movie Night, Game Night, & Lenten celebration; our deepest desire is to keep children and families connected through faith, food and fun!
Service
Caring for and serving others is an important part of the Christian life. We seek opportunities for children to serve: from the Harvest House Baby Shower; to "God's Work, Our Hands Sunday" ; to ELCA Good Gifts program, children learn the value of giving of themselves to others in different ways.
