APRIL 2024
Christ is Risen! He is Risen, indeed, Alleluia!
Throughout the season of Lent, we have been figuring out faith with Peter. Peter is so relatable – he was curious…he was bold…he was afraid…he was willing to get out of the boat…he didn’t want his feet washed by Jesus and then he wanted his whole being washed…he denied knowing Jesus and yet through it all he still ran to the tomb…he still ran towards hope. We also know that this was not the end of his story. The rest of Peter’s story included being filled with the Holy Spirit on Pentecost and being sent to boldly proclaim the good news that Christ is Risen. His response this this call was, “Here I am, send me.”
Like Peter, our stories, both as individuals and as a congregation, continue as we are sent forth to be witnesses of the Good News that Christ is Risen. I give thanks that Peter and others throughout the generations were willing to generously share and to pass on the story of God’s love through the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus. I give thanks for the people who have shared the stories of God’s love through the Lord of Life ministries for over 50 years.
In this second year of our ministry together, we are taking new steps to strengthen our ministries. We will intentionally explore how God is calling and equipping Lord of Life to share the story of God’s love through our ministry as a Church and through the Adult Day Health Center and the Child Development Center. You are invited to be a part of the conversations, to be in prayer, and to be a part of the learnings, and to be generous so that we can BE a beacon of God’s light and hope in this community and beyond.
